Daniel Buren, To Align: Works in Situ 2017, Bortolami

Floating on the brink, I extend into Daniel Buren’s lenticular land of cascading columns where the artist has used his signature alternating 8.7 cm. wide stripe to christen Bortolami’s new, architecturally rich location. To overlay a look from Noa Raviv’s Non-Place collection into Buren’s in situ works is to illuminate our contemporary minds with the value of ephemeral experiences. Light, materiality and construction tinged with formality crystalize in works bound only by their own narrative. Chromatic contrasts emphasize beaming forms and heighten the vestige of a memory that tastes like a summer cherry.
